The award-winning Drama On-line introduces new writers alongside essentially the most iconic names in playwriting history, offering contextual and significant background through scholarly works and sensible guides. The eighth and closing season has simply aired, and let’s face it, most of us have given up on it by now. But when it began it was stupendous – beautifully scripted and wonderfully unpredictable. Whereas Danes and Lewis put in powerhouse performances, the show is also elevated by a stellar supporting forged including Mandy Patinkin, David Harewood and Rupert Friend.
As soon as Upon a Time in Hollywood is a strange beast. For giant chunks of the movie, you’re both watching someone act in a unique movie or someone watch a movie they’re in. And yet, it by no means feels slowed down or boring. A trio of fantastic main performances draw you in each step of the way to the point I would be keen to look at a whole TELEVISION series with these characters just to see what sort of shenanigans they get into next.
