Top Rated Action Movies Of All Time – There’s a rule of thumb in filmmaking: “Show, don’t tell.” In many scenarios, this means replacing a long monologue with a low-key look. When it comes to action movies, this rule reigns perhaps even more than in any other genre. “Show Don’t Tell” transitions to “Shut up, blow something up and walk away in slow motion.”
Perhaps the biggest fans of action movies are adrenaline junkies. Maybe they’re just addicted to stories that walk around without too much talking. In any case, there are plenty of action movies that have a huge ratio of poignancy to edginess, and ones that do that but compress incredible storytelling in the process. Based on the criteria of car chases, ticking time bombs, hand-to-hand combat, vigilante heroes, special effects and really great storytelling, these are the action movies best suited for your binge watching.

) the action genre hasn’t rolled off the roll. At any rate, we are now in another golden age of kicking ass cinema. While there have been obvious changes in visual effects technology that have allowed for larger sets and more realistic thrills, much of what makes a great acton movie a great action movie hasn’t changed: painstaking choreography, fearless stuntmen/actors, and crisp operator work.
